Ouch

Well, The Cost of Devotion, ep. 3 of Season 3 is out and ready for public consumption; and lets just say that Hitman fans may feel the emotional cost of their devotion to this series after viewing this hard-hitting episode. It has its light moments, such as Red Fox's Vocelli story, Kyte Thomson's effectual use of those big blue eyes (Judah, please don't kill Paul. They're just acting), and the priceless image of Jonathan Bales throwing Mr. Protic (a.k.a. the Prison Warden) a machine gun (it'll take a while to recover from that one), but this episode mostly consists of a high-body-count prison raid and the tragic, tear-jerker death of a major character. Let's just say that Red Fox now has one more large reason to hate Craven and the Hitman. I guess Mr. Noa hasn't lost his ability to surprise and shock us with his plot twists!

Things I Liked:
- The fight at the prison (Amy, Joanna, I never knew you had it in you)
- Tobin and Craven going hand to hand.
- Finally figuring out what the Chechen raid at the beginning of the season has to do with anything.

Things I Giggled at (that I wasn't necessarily supposed to giggle at)
- The pen-scrawled paper taped to Red Fox's office door that said "Director, Red Fox."
- The fact that President Hearst (very obviously) doubled as one of the soldiers in the Prison fight.
- Hiding a gun in a trash can?

Things I Didn't Like:
-Alright, I admit it, I was a big fan of Tobin's character. Why'd he have to die???!!!!
-Some incontinuity in the prison fight...I distinctly saw Nick Isley die, and then there he was in the next scene...Reminds me of Edie Hitchcock's "double death" from last season.

In other news, Mr. Noa graciously allowed me a visit to the set last week, along with some sneak peaks of future footage. Having now been witness to what exactly goes into the filming of a scene, I have alot of admiration for Mr. Noa and his actors. They put in a good half-hour of acting and scene-shooting for every couple minutes of actual screen time!
As for my sneak peak, well, let's just say this: Vocelli's back, and the Mysterious Man in Black won't get a chance to die of lung cancer... ;) Until the next episode (due out sometime this week), au revoir!

The young CTA Agent's tragic but heroic death is an inspiration to all our agents. No matter how pathetic an agent you are, you can still die well and make a difference.

Pathetic? You seem not to realize that Tobin has been one of the most interesting characters for the whole season. After enduring far too much low-quality acting (with a few notable exceptions) in the series, it is refreshing to experience some true talent.

Furthermore, I merely speak as one of the guys who watches the show. We all know of our young agent's considerable female following.

Amen! Do you know what I think? Tobin is just too popular a character to let go after only 3 episodes. I think he needs to come back in at least a flashback, or, better yet, one of those "visions" Daniel is so fond of putting in. Wouldn't that be cool? Like, Tobin walking down a long hallway towards Red Fox, giving advice or encouragement as Paul's having his last crisis of conscience, is getting shot at, etc.?

LOL. Tobin coming back? In a flashback? I'm not seeing it. Then again, this is the film industry, a rather limited one at that, so maybe, just maybe it could be pulled off. Until then, I'm with Thorne.

"Tobin is just too popular a character"? I truly hope Mr. Noa doesn't adjust his script for the purpose of popularity.

Oh come on. If Sarah Lewis can flounce around hills for a delirious Director, wouldn't it make sense for something like a conscience to appear to the badly-traumatized Fox in the form of the person who's death fixed the "departing point" for Red Fox's descent into darkness and vengeance?

No. It wouldn't. Previous "flouncing-arounds" don't give a Director the right to make further ones. ;)

Oh, give me a break. That's like saying "just because George Lucas filmed one lightsaber fight doesn't give him the right to film another one." Sarah Lewis's scene was one of my favorite parts, why not have a bit of a counterpart scene for Red Fox, with Tobin? I haven't heard a good reason yet.

Tell Paul to post the third episode. We don't want to wait until this fall to see it, especially after hearing so much about it...

BREAKING NEWS!!
InterFinancial Holdings, Corp. (OTC Pink Sheets: IFLH - News) announced that they have added
David Cain to their board of directors. David Cain is currently the Chairman of the advisory
board to TTI (Texas Transportation Institute). Senator Cain represented Senate District 2 for
eight years in the Texas Senate and Chaired the Senate State Affairs Subcommittee on
Transportation and served nine terms in the Texas House of Representatives for District 107.

During his twelve years as Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Senator Cains
efforts on behalf of the people of Texas have been widely recognized. He was named to Texas
Monthly Magazines list of Ten Best Legislators, the Dallas Morning News said he was one of
the outstanding legislators of the 73rd session, and the Texas Department of Transportation
awarded him the Russell H. Perry Award in 1995 for his efforts to gain public awareness of

Jeffrey C. Bruteyn, Managing Director, stated, We at InterFinancial are proud to have such a
widely recognized Senator join our board and oversee out automotive lending division. His
affiliations and connections to the automotive industry will be invaluable to our company.
Senator Cain will be instrumental in expediting our approval to use a government issued Seller
Finance License.

Seller Finance Licenses are very difficult to obtain and are usually reserved for the Big Boys
with heavy lobbyists. These licenses are highly coveted because it allows the finance company
to collect the entire down payment, instead of paying a portion of it to the taxing authority.
This dramatically helps a finance companys bottom line if the buyer defaults on the loan.

With the new GPS tracking systems being installed on every car to dramatically improve
repossessions and with Senator Cain on the Board of Directors, InterFinancial Holdings
is ready to take their business to the next level.

Wow - this is a really amazing series, and the acting and music are incredible!

Just one question: since this review came out, season 3 has ended and we've been given the season 4 trailer. When can we expect the first episode this season? I'm really looking forward to it :-D
